Safari MK soft play and party venue

Safari MK is basically an indoor soft play barn aimed squarely at families with young kids, located just outside Milton Keynes. Think climbing frames, slides, ball pits, and all the padded apparatus you'd expect - nothing revolutionary, but it does the job on a rainy afternoon when the children need burning out.

Young kids from toddlers up to around age 8 or 9 will get the most mileage from it. Older children tend to lose interest quickly, and honestly, teenagers won't touch it. Parents can sit and have a coffee while keeping an eye on things, which is the real appeal here.

The venue also runs birthday parties, which is their bread and butter - so expect it to be rammed on weekends and school holidays. Weekday mornings are your best bet if you want a more relaxed visit. Allow an hour or so; anything longer and most kids have had enough.

As part of a holiday at one of the nearby parks - Cosgrove Park or Gullivers Campsite are both within a few miles - it's a solid rainy day option rather than a main attraction. Gullivers in particular has its own outdoor activities, so Safari MK works as backup entertainment rather than a must-do. It's the kind of place you're genuinely grateful exists when you're stuck indoors, but wouldn't plan a trip around.
