You'll find Sabotage tucked away in Sussex, a gallery space that takes its name seriously - there's an edge to what gets shown here. It's the sort of place that doesn't do safe or predictable; the work tends toward contemporary pieces with attitude, the kind of art that makes you think or occasionally makes you uncomfortable. That's rather the point.

The gallery itself is compact, which means it works best as a focused visit rather than a lingering afternoon. Allow an hour, maybe ninety minutes if there's a major exhibition on. It draws art enthusiasts and those after something beyond the usual seaside gallery fare - you won't find watercolours of the South Downs here. Lancing, the nearest town, sits just a few miles away and offers all the standard facilities if you need a coffee beforehand.

If you're caravan-based at one of the nearby parks - Beach Park or The Barn are both close by at under three miles - Sabotage makes a decent wet-weather stop or an evening activity when the weather turns. It's free admission on most occasions, though it's worth checking before you visit as programming varies. The Onslow and Brook Lane caravan parks are also within striking distance if you're staying further afield. It's not a destination in itself, but it's a proper addition to a Sussex coastal break if you care about contemporary art at all.
