The moment you walk through the gates, you're greeted by life-sized dinosaur sculptures that actually move and roar - which is either thrilling or terrifying depending on how old your kids are. Roarr! is a proper theme park experience squeezed into Norfolk countryside, east of Norwich, with enough to keep families occupied for a solid afternoon without breaking the bank or requiring a full day's commitment.

The park splits into rides and attractions spread across themed zones. There's a log flume that gets you soaked, go-karts, climbing frames, and various dino-themed rides ranging from gentle enough for toddlers to moderately intense for older children. The dinosaur encounters themselves are the real draw - animatronic creatures lurking around corners, though they're more fun-scares than genuinely frightening. Honestly, kids aged 4-12 will get the most from it; teenagers often find it a bit mild, and under-fours might struggle with some of the walking between attractions.

Timing-wise, allow three to four hours, longer if your group dawdles at the soft play areas or decides to do multiple rides. Summer holidays are packed - go in early September if you can, when school holidays have ended but the park's still open late. The seasonal hours vary considerably, so check ahead; winter closes at 4pm which feels tight.
