Folkestone itself has been through quite a transformation over the past decade, and this gallery cluster sits right in the middle of that regeneration. The surrounding streets have coffee shops, vintage bookshops, and independent restaurants that make it easy to spend a proper morning or afternoon here. From Varne Ridge Holiday Park, it's barely twenty minutes' drive. Even Hawthorne Trench, the furthest option, sits within easy striking distance for a day trip. Free admission, as far as I can tell, though donations are usually welcome and individual studios might charge small entry fees. Best visited midweek when it's less hectic and you've got a genuine chance of chatting with the artists themselves.
