Picnic Table

It's not a manicured attraction with visitor centres or gift shops. It's just a table-shaped outcrop where walkers stop, eat, and stare at the view. Honestly, that's the appeal.

The walk to reach it takes you across open heathland with decent paths, though nothing technical. Allow a couple of hours return depending on your pace and how many photos you take. The outcrop itself offers 360-degree vistas - on a clear day you can see across to the Firth of Clyde. On a cloudy day, it's moody and atmospheric in that way only Scottish moorland manages.
