Parsons Farm

Parsons Farm is a proper nature reserve tucked away in Warwickshire, a few miles outside Leamington Spa. It's the sort of place where you'll spot wetland birds, wander through managed habitats, and remember why you actually like walking without a phone in your hand.

The reserve itself covers decent ground - you get meadows, ponds, and woodland depending on which trails you take. Bring binoculars if you've got them; the birdwatching here pulls in serious enthusiasts. Spring and summer are when things really come alive, though winter migration can be equally rewarding if you don't mind the cold.

This appeals most to walkers and anyone actually interested in wildlife rather than just Instagram-ing it. Kids will manage an hour or so before getting restless unless they're the type to stand still watching dragonflies.
