Otherton Farm Dog Park, just outside Worcester, is exactly what it says on the tin - a proper space where dogs can actually run about without a lead and burn off some energy. It's the kind of spot that feels like a local secret, the sort of place families discover and then keep coming back to because it actually works.

The farm setting means plenty of open ground, and dogs tend to have a genuinely good time here rather than being packed in with dozens of others. If you're staying at one of the nearby holiday parks - Cob House Countryside Park, The Coppice Leisure Park, or Ockeridge Rural Retreats are all within five or six miles - this makes a brilliant morning outing before heading back for lunch. You won't need more than an hour, maybe ninety minutes if your dog is particularly sociable and wants to play with other animals.

Obviously this is only worth your time if you're travelling with a dog.
