The gallery spaces rotate work from the resident artists, so what's on display changes. Some studios are worth a proper look; others less so - that's just how it goes with these things.

Benfleet sits a short drive away, making Old Leigh a decent half-day addition to a wider Essex or Kent coast trip. If you're staying at Essex Glamping or Haven Kent Coast Holiday Park, this won't add much distance. Bring decent shoes for the warehouse floors and go with realistic expectations - it's not the Tate, but it's honest work in an atmospheric setting.
