Ogof Arth

Underground exploration doesn't get much more adventurous than this. Ogof Arth is a proper cave system that'll have you crawling through limestone passages and squeezing into chambers that most tourists never see. Located near Llandudno, this isn't your average show cave with handrails and fairy lights - it's the real deal.

Cavers and outdoor enthusiasts are the obvious audience here, though confident teenagers might love the challenge. You'll need a head torch, proper clothing you don't mind getting muddy, and a willingness to get genuinely dirty. Don't expect an easy stroll - this is hands-and-knees territory in places.

The cave system offers a proper underground adventure, complete with tight squeezes and some spectacular rock formations once you're inside. It's not suitable for claustrophobic types or anyone with mobility issues. Young children would struggle with the physical demands.
