North Lake sits just outside Cirencester, a proper working gravel pit that's been transformed into something worth stopping for. It's not dramatic or showy - just a decent stretch of water where the light hits differently depending on the time of day, with rough grass banks and a few fishing spots dotted around.

The lake itself is modest in scale, maybe twenty minutes to walk around if you're taking it slowly. Fishermen come here regularly, so you'll often see a line of rods along the bank.
