Nine stones

Allow 45 minutes for the site itself if you're interested in the history, less if you just want the photos and move on. It's free and always accessible, being outdoors.

The location works well if you're camping at any of the nearby parks - Buckland Campsite and Higher Moor Farm are both within 5-6 miles, making this a decent leg-stretcher on a holiday. Don't expect crowds. It's the sort of place where you might have the stones to yourself on a weekday morning, which is exactly why it's worth the detour. The experience is low-key and atmospheric rather than packaged and polished. If you're into prehistory or just appreciate walking through proper English countryside without the noise, this delivers.
