You're not stopping for hours - thirty minutes to an hour is realistic - but it's the kind of place that sticks with you because it's real. The views down the valley are excellent, and there's a sense of stepping back in time that you won't get anywhere else nearby.

It's free to visit, though whether there's any formal public access worth checking before you go. Hawes is only a few miles away, so it works well as a morning walk or afternoon detour when based at one of the local caravan sites. Stablefell Holidays is closest at three and a half miles - a cracking spot itself - and both Hawes Caravan and Motorhome Club and Cherish Glamping are within easy reach. The farm fits perfectly into a proper walking holiday rather than a destination in itself. Come for the landscape and the glimpse of Dales farming life, not for creature comforts.
