Nessclife Woods

The woodland around Nessclife in Powys is proper walking country - mixed broadleaf forest with streams threading through, just a few miles south of Oswestry. It's the sort of place where you can spend a couple of hours roaming without seeing another soul, which is increasingly rare these days.

It's less about the destination itself and more about having decent walking on your doorstep. Free to access and open year-round, though winter can turn the paths muddy.
