Mercat Cross

Standing in the heart of Kinghorn, this weathered stone cross marks what was once the beating commercial heart of this Fife coastal town. The Mercat Cross - from the Scots word for market - is where traders would have gathered centuries ago to hawk their wares under royal charter.
