The appeal here is straightforward: if you're into birds, plants, or just want an hour's ramble away from the caravan sites clustered around Parkdean Resorts Carmarthen Bay or Broughton Farm, this delivers. Walkers get a decent workout; families with young kids might find it a bit samey after 45 minutes unless they're genuinely keen on wildlife spotting. There's something quite nice about how rough it is - no wooden boardwalks or interpretive signs, just you and the landscape.
