You're looking at a straightforward hill walk rather than a scramble, which means families with decent walking legs can manage it without drama. The views back towards Ardgay and across the surrounding glens are exactly what you come to the Highlands for - big skies, proper distances, that kind of thing. On a clear day you can see a fair way, though Scottish weather being what it is, you might only get glimpses.

Allow three to four hours return if you're moving at a reasonable pace. Start early because the light fades fast up here, especially in winter. It's free to walk, obviously - no gatekeeping on Scottish hills.
