Meall Doire Bhrath

The walk up Meall Doire Bhrath rewards you with views across the Great Glen that don't need a guide book to impress. This isn't one of Scotland's famous peaks - it won't appear on many bucket lists - but that's rather the point. You get proper Highland scenery without the crowds you'd find on Ben Nevis or the Cairngorms.

The summit sits just under 750 metres, making it an achievable afternoon push from Inverness. From the top, Loch Ness spreads out below you - genuinely striking on a clear day, though don't expect monster sightings. The surrounding peaks frame the view nicely, and on quiet days you might be the only person up there.
