Marton Church

The church sits quietly on the edge of Marton, about three miles from Shrewsbury, and honestly it's the sort of place you'd miss if you weren't specifically looking for it. That's precisely why it's worth the slight detour. Built in the 12th century, Marton Church is a proper example of Norman architecture - chunky stone work, modest proportions, and the kind of gravitas you get from something that's been standing for nine hundred years.
