Both are well-positioned for exploring the loch without the faffing about that comes with trying to do it as a day trip from further afield. If you're staying at either site, spend an afternoon here rather than driving to somewhere 'better' - you'll likely have the place to yourself, which costs nothing and beats most things money can buy.
