Lower Lamphey Park

The ruins of Lamphey Palace sit quietly on the outskirts of Pembroke, and they're genuinely worth seeking out if you're staying in the area. This was once a proper bishop's residence - substantial enough that it mattered - and you can still make out the shape of what was clearly an important medieval establishment. The remains include sections of defensive walls, gatehouse structures, and enough stonework to give you a real sense of scale.

History types will spend a good hour here; families with younger kids might find thirty minutes enough before they want to move on.
