You're walking through managed woodland that's been here for centuries, the kind of place where you notice things: moss-covered logs, winter birdsong, the occasional clear path that suggests serious forestry work keeps it accessible.

It's ideal for walkers after a proper woodland ramble without needing to commit to a full day hike. The paths wind through in a way that feels organic rather than corporate - there's no visitor centre or gift shop, just trees and space. Allow an hour or so to explore properly, longer if you're the type who stops to identify fungi or sketch. The real draw is atmosphere. On a still morning, you get why people romanticise Cotswolds woodland.
