Lochan Feòir

A shallow loch tucked into the Highlands near Gairloch, Lochan Feòir is the sort of water that rewards quiet observation rather than demanding your attention. Access is free and there's no gate or formal opening hours to worry about. Timing-wise, spring and early summer give you the best light and activity, though the loch is accessible year-round if you've got proper kit. The midges can be ferocious come July and August.
