From either location, the leisure centre is an easy drive or bus ride when the British weather inevitably lets you down.

Walkers and serious sports enthusiasts might find the facilities decent enough, but this isn't a destination in itself. It's purely functional - the sort of place you'd visit because you're staying nearby and need an indoor option. Allow an hour or two depending on what you're doing. The nearest proper town is Chingford, which has more character if you're looking for something to do beyond the pool.
