Knights Fine Art sits quietly in Oakham, the sort of gallery you'd walk past if you weren't paying attention - which would be a shame. Inside, it's a proper working space with contemporary paintings, sculpture, and occasional installations that actually feel like someone cares about them rather than just filling wall space.

The gallery itself isn't vast, so you won't spend hours here, but that's rather the point. Forty minutes is probably enough unless you're seriously into the work on display at that moment. Artists rotate their pieces fairly regularly, so there's reason to revisit if you're in the area more than once.

Oakham itself has decent pubs and the High Street is pleasant for wandering. Worth checking opening hours before you visit though - it's not a massive operation, so ring ahead to be sure they're open.
