Allow 30 minutes to an hour if you're the type who enjoys watching boats and spotting activity. If you're expecting manicured gardens or play areas, you'll be disappointed.

This works well as a side trip from Dunoon, which sits just a few miles south. It pairs nicely with a longer Cowal Peninsula exploration - the marina's the sort of place you'd tack onto a day rather than drive out for specifically. The nearby Beach House Pods and Hunters Quay Holiday Village both make sensible bases for the area. Stay at either and you could easily loop Kip Marina into a broader day out without fuss. Best visited on a clear day when the Firth looks its absolute best.
