The real advantage is proximity to the holiday parks clustered nearby - The Meadows Campsite sits less than a mile away, and Pentewan Sands is barely further. If you're based at one of these, Kings Wood makes a sensible morning outing before heading elsewhere for the afternoon. Free access and no timetable nonsense means you can drop in whenever suits. Go early or late to dodge the worst of any crowds, though honestly you're unlikely to see many people regardless.
