Kennedy Park

Kennedy Park sits just outside Ayr as a proper nature reserve where you can actually breathe. It's the kind of place locals know about but tourists miss - a mix of woodland trails, open grassland, and the occasional surprise of a small pond catching the light through the trees.

What you're really doing here is walking. The paths are straightforward enough, nothing technical, which means families with younger kids won't struggle. It's close enough that you could walk from camp if you're minded to, though the road route does have you mixing with traffic for a stretch.
