Just mountain view with parking🏔️

There's a pull-off near Crianlarich where you can actually see what you're supposed to see - the mountains properly. No visitor centre, no gift shop, no pretence. Just a car park and the view.

You get decent sight lines across the Scottish Lowlands from here, and on a clear day (rare enough to warrant mention when it happens) the ridgelines push back for miles. It's the kind of stop that takes twenty minutes, maybe half an hour if you're the lingering type, and it scratches that itch without demanding much effort.

Walkers heading between Tyndrum Holiday Park and the Glen Coe direction often break here. Families break here too, mostly to stretch legs and let the kids burn off energy with a bit of fresh air. Photographers come for the light, especially in the late afternoon when the slopes get some proper definition. If you're staying at Tyndrum Holiday Park down the road, it's an easy detour - though honestly, the view from the park itself probably isn't far off.

The car park is free and accessible year-round, no questions asked. There's space for a decent number of vehicles, and the ground's reasonably level. Don't expect facilities - there's nothing here but the view and the sky. On a grey day (which is most days) it's functional rather than spectacular. But that's not really the point. It's a proper mountain vista without the crowds or the cost, and that counts for something.
