Jubilee Park

Jubilee Park sits just outside Waterlooville in Hampshire, a modest green space that serves the local community far better than it does passing tourists. What you get is fairly straightforward - open grass, some decent trees for shade, and the kind of park that works brilliantly if you've got small children in tow but won't keep you occupied for more than an hour or so.

It's the sort of place where families pitch up for a picnic after a morning's exploring elsewhere. The grass is maintained well enough, and there's room to run about without worrying you'll crash into someone. If you're staying at one of the nearby glamping sites - The Old Dairy Farm or Wallops Wood are both just a few miles away - it's a perfectly serviceable spot for letting the kids burn off energy before heading back for tea.

The reality is this: Jubilee Park won't be the highlight of your Hampshire break. But it's genuinely useful if you're basing yourselves at Rookesbury Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite or any of the other touring spots in the area. Twenty minutes there, perhaps a bit longer if you pack a lunch. Free to enter, obviously. Parking information isn't readily available online, but it's unlikely to be complicated.

Go if you're staying nearby and need somewhere straightforward. Skip it if you're driving in specially. There are better things to do around Waterlooville.
