The Hibernian Training Centre sits on the outskirts of East Lothian, a working facility that's genuinely worth a stop if you're into football or have kids who live and breathe the sport. It's the training ground for Hibernian FC - one of Edinburgh's big two clubs - so you're looking at proper pitches, training facilities, and the occasional chance to spot players going about their business, depending on the time of day and season.

Unless you've got a guided tour arranged (which isn't standard walk-up stuff), you're mostly viewing from outside the gates. That said, football fans find it worthwhile just to clock the setup and feel close to the action. Kids often get a buzz from it if they follow the team. The reality is it's not a destination in itself - you'll spend twenty minutes here, max, taking photos and reading the plaques.

If you're basing yourself at Haven Seton Sands or Drummohr Camping just down the road, it's an easy detour on a decent-weather afternoon. The East Lothian area itself has proper coastline and quieter parks nearby, so bundle this in with a broader day out rather than treating it as the main event.
