If you're staying at Lorne Hill Farm nearby and fancy getting some proper exercise in during a park holiday, it's worth checking if they offer day passes or temporary membership, though you'll want to ring ahead rather than just turning up.

The appeal here really depends on what you're after. If you're the type who can't go a few days without a swim or a tennis game, having somewhere concrete and well-maintained within five miles of your accommodation is genuinely useful. The pool is the draw for most people - a proper indoor facility beats trying to find a decent one miles away. Families with kids who are keen swimmers might find it breaks up a week of caravan life nicely.

Non-members can occasionally get access, but the arrangement isn't particularly straightforward, so do contact them first. It's not the sort of place you'd plan a day around unless you're already a member or have secured guest access.
