The granite statue of Hercules Linton stands on a hillside near Stonehaven, a tribute to the man who designed the Cutty Sark. Best in decent weather - Scottish Highland wind can make lingering uncomfortable. Don't expect visitor facilities or interpretive boards. This is very much a quiet memorial to a clever man.
