Henley-in-Arden Golf Course (closed)

This one's a dead end, I'm afraid. Henley-in-Arden Golf Course closed some time back, and there's no indication it's reopening. If you've driven out to the small market town of Henley-in-Arden in Warwickshire hoping for a round, you'll find the fairways abandoned.

That said, the closure doesn't have to wreck your holiday. The town itself sits within easy reach of several decent touring parks - Wootton Park Glamping Pods is barely two and a half miles away, and Greenhill Park's caravan rally site is close by at under four miles. If you're after something with more going on, Stratford-upon-Avon Lodge Retreat is only five or six miles south, putting you on the doorstep of the Shakespeare connection and proper riverside walks.

Golfers in the area have options elsewhere. It's worth checking what's actually operating before you book accommodation around Henley. The town itself has a bit of charm - half-timbered buildings, a working market - but it's not the kind of place that holds your attention for days. Use it as a base for exploring the wider Warwickshire countryside, or head toward Stratford where there's considerably more to do. Camping nearby makes sense; just don't come expecting fairways.
