Hendon Park

Hendon Park sits just outside Elstree in Hertfordshire, a proper local spot that doesn't draw crowds the way bigger attractions do. It's a green space where you can walk the grounds, enjoy views across the countryside, and get a sense of what rural Hertfordshire looked like before the sprawl crept in.

The park works best for people who want a straightforward country walk rather than a destination experience. If you've got kids, they'll burn off energy on the open grass, but there's no playground or visitor centre to keep them occupied for hours. Walkers appreciate it - the paths are decent and you're not fighting through tourist hordes. History types might find the landscape itself interesting, though there isn't much interpretation on site.
