Hemplands Farm is barely a mile away, so you could easily knock this out before lunch. The hill works best for people who actually enjoy walking rather than those after a quick Instagram snap. Kids under eight might struggle with the pace unless they're keen types. Go midweek if you can - weekends bring out the local running clubs, and you'll have the place to yourself. The nearby holiday parks - Halleaths, Newbridge Country Park, and Burnside of Ae Glamping - are all within five miles, making Hempland Hill a sensible morning outing while you're based in the area.
