Heather Garden

The Heather Garden sits tucked away in Bracknell Forest, a proper little sanctuary if you know where to look. It's exactly what the name suggests - a garden devoted entirely to heathers, those low-growing plants that create waves of colour across the landscape. You'll find rows of different varieties here, from deep purples and pinks to pale lavenders and whites, depending on what's in season.

Walking through it's a meditative sort of experience. There's no grand theatre or elaborate water features - just plants, paths, and plenty of space to breathe. If you're into horticulture or planning a heather display at home, you'll get genuine value from studying what thrives here. Bracknell Forest is only about six miles from Windsor, making it easy to combine with a broader park holiday in the area. Warfield Park and Laleham Camping Club are both within striking distance if you're based in a caravan, so you could easily spend a morning here before heading elsewhere.
