About Hatch Copse
It's not a destination in itself, but rather a solid half-day addition to a wider Henley trip. Walkers will get the most from it. The paths are straightforward enough for families with older kids, though younger ones might find it a bit samey after forty minutes or so. If you're staying at The Chilterns View or Ridgeway View Campsite - both within six miles - this makes an easy morning outing before heading into town for lunch.
There's no visitor centre or facilities that I'm aware of, so bring water and expect no more than a car park and woodland. Free to access, as far as I can tell. Allow an hour to ninety minutes depending on how much you potter about looking at trees. The big draw is simplicity - no queues, no entrance fees, just forest. Go when you're in the area for Henley itself, not as a standalone trip. Worth the detour if you're camping nearby and want a break from the caravan, but don't rearrange your plans to fit it in.
