Hangloose Adventure

Hangloose Adventure is an outdoor activity centre near Tregrehan Mills that specialises in high-ropes courses and tree-based challenges. You're harnessed up and working your way through suspended obstacles between the trees - rope bridges, zip lines, climbing walls, that sort of thing. It's the kind of place where adrenaline matters more than views, though the woodland setting in Cornwall's interior is pleasant enough.

Families with teenagers will get the most from it. Younger kids might find some courses too physically demanding, and adults who aren't keen on heights should probably give it a miss entirely. The whole experience typically takes two to three hours depending on which course you pick. You'll want to book ahead and allow extra time for the safety briefing.

It works well as a morning or afternoon slot during a park holiday - close enough to East Crinnis Holiday Park or Par Sands that you won't spend ages driving. The advantage is it burns serious energy in kids who've been cooped up on a campsite. The downside is it's pricey and weather-dependent, so summer visits are obviously better than autumn when the rain rolls in.
