An 18-hole course just outside Halesworth that's been drawing golfers to this quiet corner of Suffolk for decades. The layout rolls across proper parkland - nothing dramatic, but pleasant enough if you know what you're after. Fairways are generally well-kept, and there's enough variation to keep you interested without feeling punishing, which matters if you're mid-handicap.

Golfers will get the most from it, obviously. It's not a championship track or anything you'd travel four hours for specifically, but it works perfectly if you're based locally or staying at one of the nearby campsites like Sunnyside or Green Haven. Allow three to four hours for a round, depending on pace of play. The course sits on the edge of Halesworth itself, so you're minutes from the town centre if you fancy lunch afterwards. It's the sort of place that fills a lazy morning during a camping holiday in the area rather than a destination in itself. If you're staying at The Croft or Pigs in Blankets, you're not far away either. Decent exercise, decent company if you're playing with friends, and the kind of course that doesn't take itself too seriously - worth a round if golf's your thing.
