You won't find crowds at Grundcruie. This Bronze Age standing stone sits quietly in the Perthshire countryside, a proper marker of something that mattered thousands of years ago. The stone itself is modest - weathered, worn smooth by millennia - but that's rather the point. This isn't a reconstructed site with interpretive boards; it's the real thing, left where it was planted.

The appeal here is archaeological rather than theatrical.
