The surrounding area lends itself well to a caravan park stay - Chertsey Caravan Park sits just 4.6 miles away, making it an easy base. From there, you can combine Gravel Hill with proper walks through the Thames Valley or pop over to Windsor itself for the castle if views alone aren't enough. Worth the detour if you're in the area and the forecast looks decent. On a grey day though, you might just see fields and mild disappointment. Time it for late afternoon when the light catches the valley properly, and you'll understand why locals bother with it at all.
