If you're based at Haywood Farm Caravan and Camping Park (half a mile away) or one of the other nearby sites like Darnells' Farm, Gorsley makes an excellent morning dog walk before heading into Ross-on-Wye for lunch. The village itself offers nothing you'd call an attraction - no tea shop, no visitor centre - but that's rather the point. Families with energetic dogs will find it useful; history hunters won't find much. Allow an hour or ninety minutes depending on how often your dog wants to investigate every tree stump. Go on a weekday if you can. Weekends tend to bring more footfall, which rather defeats the purpose of coming here in the first place.
