Frost Folly Car Park

There's a car park in Bracknell Forest that has somehow acquired its own name and become a minor pilgrimage point, which tells you everything about how hungry walkers are for waymarked spots in this corner of the South East. Frost Folly sits at the edge of the forest proper, a functional pull-in that doubles as a decent entry point for woodland rambles if you're based at Scotlands House Campsite just down the road. The car park itself is unremarkable - tarmac and a few spaces - but it marks the junction where several forest paths converge, and that's genuinely useful if you're trying to navigate the Bracknell Forest trails without getting lost in the middle of a commercial plantation. Most people spend ten minutes here maximum before heading off into the trees. The novelty appeal wears off fast. That said, if you're staying at the nearby campsite with restless kids who need a proper walk, this is a legitimate starting point for a two or three-hour circuit through the forest. It's free to park and there's no entry fee - it's just a car park, after all. The name itself is probably the most interesting thing about it. Go here if you're already in the area and looking for a straightforward woodland walk. Don't drive across the region specifically to see a car park.
