Fron Rough

Walking into Fron Rough feels like stepping into proper woodland - the kind where you actually lose the car park noise within a minute or two. It's a forest spread across decent acreage near Wrexham, the sort of place that rewards a slow meander rather than a rushed loop.

What you get here is straightforward: well-maintained paths threading through mixed woodland, plenty of shade, and the chance to actually breathe. It's not dramatic or wild - more a working forest than wilderness - but that's partly its appeal. You won't encounter crowds. The trees do their job of making you feel removed without requiring a full expedition.
