Faugh Well Farm

Families won't find it thrilling for more than a quick look round - there's no playground nonsense, no café - but if your kids are old enough to understand how farming works, it's genuinely instructive.

Staying at Old Chamber Camping just 1.3 miles away gives you easy access, and the site's excellent rating suggests locals know what they're doing. Alternatively, Hebden Bridge Caravan and Motorhome Club is barely two miles down the valley. Both are perfect bases for exploring the wider moorland farming heritage of the South Pennines.
