There's no visitor centre, no café, just a decent walking path that lets you circuit the water without getting your feet soggy.

The real draw here is the peace. You won't find crowds or noise. Binoculars essential if you're keen on identifying what's actually out there rather than assuming everything's a duck. Photography types rate it, especially during golden hour when the light hits the reeds properly. Walkers doing loops around Doncaster might tag this on - it's accessible from nearby Bawtry, which sits only a few miles away.

Realistically, allow 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how much you linger or how serious your birdwatching is. It's free access, no facilities that I could find, so bring water if you're stopping longer. Not spectacular, but proper restful - exactly what some folk want when they've had enough of busier parks.
