Deer Park

Deer Park is straightforward stuff - you're essentially walking through managed grounds where these animals live in something approaching their natural state, rather than pacing behind fences. It's the kind of place where you might see nothing for ten minutes, then spot a small herd grazing on the slope ahead.

Families with young children will get an hour or so out of it, though don't expect the theatrical energy of a zoo. Walkers appreciate it more, particularly if you combine it with the wider Aberdeenshire countryside around Ellon - the landscape here is genuinely nice, all rolling hills and clear air.
