Damas Gill Reservoir

The walk down to Damas Gill Reservoir from Lancaster is genuinely lovely - you get proper views across the water and the surrounding moorland changes with the seasons. It's a fairly straightforward walk that won't hammer your legs, though the path can be muddy after rain so bring decent boots.

What you're looking at is a long, narrow reservoir surrounded by heather and rough grassland. The water itself is beautiful on a clear day - reflection of the fells are sharp and clear.
