Cutpursey Coppice

It's the sort of spot that rewards a slow morning rather than a rushed afternoon. The paths are manageable, the canopy's thick enough to feel properly woodland-y even in summer, and if you time it right you might clock deer or catch the light filtering through in that particular golden way that makes Instagram folk go a bit mad. Walkers will get genuine value here - it's close enough to Stourport-on-Severn for a morning visit but feels miles away from the town's riverside bustle.

If you're camping at Amber's Bell Tent Camping at Bells Farm or any of the nearby parks - Lincomb Lock Caravan Park and Walshes Farm are all within six miles - this makes a decent half-day excursion. Kids will manage it fine if they're the type to enjoy spotting wildlife rather than needing designated play equipment. The real draw is getting a feel for working woodland that's been managed the same way for generations. Don't expect visitor facilities or signage telling you what tree is what. Bring a map, good boots, and a willingness to just wander.
