Coleshill Park is a proper working estate rather than a manicured visitor attraction, and that's precisely why it matters. The grounds sprawl across Oxfordshire just outside Faringdon, with woodland paths, open pasture, and the kind of quiet corners where you're more likely to spot a red kite than a tour group. You can walk here - there's access to various trails that wind through the estate's natural bits, and the views across the Cotswold fringes are solid without being showy.

It's the sort of place that appeals to walkers who actually like walking, rather than people after a coffee shop and a gift shop. History types will be interested too - the estate has proper bones - but don't expect interpretation boards or guided tours. Bring your own curiosity. Families with kids who'd rather climb trees than stand still will get a decent few hours out of it, though there's no playground or structured activity to speak of.

Access appears to be free, and you can amble about on foot without booking. Give yourself at least two hours if you're doing a proper loop, longer if you're the dawdling type.
